    MACWRAP REPAIR COUPLER

    MacWrap Repair Coupler is an advanced, external joint coupler, specifically designed to repair compromised joints of precast structures while simultaneously preventing infiltration. MacWrap Repair couplings can be used for the rehabilitation of tongue & groove and bell & spigot reinforced concrete pipe as well as manhole sections, restoring the integrity of damaged joints.

    With its membrane comprised of the same materials as a standard MacWrap, the width of MacWrap Repair Couplers is increased to 24”, four compression bands are utilized versus the standard two, and the thickness is increased by approximately 50%. This is a heavy-duty, 3-ply coupler as the membrane contains an additional layer of polyethylene and mastic.

    INSTALLATION

    The coupler shall be placed around the pipe, mastic side centered on the pipe joint, and then the protective release film shall be removed. The straps will then be tensioned and secured with preinstalled ratchet tensioners. The closing flap shall cover the service area and exposed straps, completing the installation. Backfill may commence immediately following the inspection of proper sealing band installation.

    MarMac PolySeal is a flexible, high-strength pipe coupling that permanently seals and restrains corrugated plastic pipe.     SPECIFICATION

    PolySeal is manufactured with interval layers of our rubberized mastic, specially formulated to adhere aggressively to all known pipe surfaces. A sheet of puncture and shear-resistant woven polypropylene, and an outside backing of cross-laminated polyethylene makes PolySeal resistant to most acids and bases (additional protection available with Chemical Resistant PolySeal). The integrated compression bands mechanically “lock” into the corrugations of the pipe, bonding the mastic to the pipe wall, and forming a permanent seal.

    The minimum length of a PolySeal Coupler is the circumference of the outside diameter of the pipe, plus eight inches for overlap.

    INSTALLATION

    Surface preparations: Inspect the outside of the joint. Brush surface as needed to ensure it is free of debris. If installing on horizontal pipe, dig a bell hole for complete access to the joint.

    The coupler shall be placed around the pipe with the mastic side to the pipe wall and spanning the joint, while centered on the joint gap to be sealed. The protective film shall be removed and the coupler applied with the overlap at the top of the pipe. The tensioning straps shall be aligned between the pipe corrugations and tightened. The closing flap protective film shall be removed and the closing flap shall cover the exposed straps and the work area.

    MarMacʼs CMP Coupler is a single unit, external sealing band designed to prevent infiltration into corrugated steel pipe drainage systems. The coupling creates a strong, permanent, flexible seal around the joints of rerolled (annularized) or non-rerolled (spiral) CSP pipe ends.

    CMP couplers function on traditional galvanized and polymer coated pipe. They are easy to install, cost-efficient, permanent, and readily available. Our dedicated production line and unique manufacturing process allow for quick shipping regardless of coupler size or order quantity.

    MarMac CMP Coupler membranes are constructed of cross-laminated layers of rubberized mastic, integrated mechanical compression bands, an internal woven reinforcement, and butyl underlays.

    MacWrap for RCP (Reinforced Concrete Pipe) is a high performance, external joint coupler designed for the prevention of infiltration and resistance of exfiltration at joints of bell-and-spigot, tongue-and-groove, round, or elliptical RCP.

    MacWrap’s specially formulated mastic is designed to aggressively adhere to the exterior concrete pipe surface, with the tightened mechanical straps creating a nearly indestructible seal.     SPECIFICATION

    MacWrap integrates several unique components into a single, full-perimeter, external sealing band. The coupler composition consists of:

    • Heavy duty polyethylene backing
    • Internal woven polypropylene reinforcement
    • High-tensile compression bands

    INSTALLATION

    Surface preparations: Inspect the outside of the joint. Brush and/or repair surface as needed to ensure there are no loose materials or voids. If installing on horizontal pipe, dig the bell hole for complete access to the joint.

    The coupler shall be placed around the pipe, mastic side centered on the pipe joint, and then the protective release film shall be removed. The straps will then be tensioned and secured with preinstalled ratchet tensioners. The closing flap shall cover the service area and exposed straps, completing the installation. Backfill may commence immediately following the inspection of proper sealing band installation.

    MACWRAP REPAIR COUPLER

    MacWrap Repair Coupler is an advanced, external joint coupler, specifically designed to repair compromised joints of precast structures while simultaneously preventing infiltration. MacWrap Repair couplings can be used for the rehabilitation of tongue & groove and bell & spigot reinforced concrete pipe as well as manhole sections, restoring the integrity of damaged joints.

    With its membrane comprised of the same materials as a standard MacWrap, the width of MacWrap Repair Couplers is increased to 24”, four compression bands are utilized versus the standard two, and the thickness is increased by approximately 50%. This is a heavy-duty, 3-ply coupler as the membrane contains an additional layer of polyethylene and mastic.

    MarMacʼs CMP Coupler is a single unit, external sealing band designed to prevent infiltration into corrugated steel pipe drainage systems. The coupling creates a strong, permanent, flexible seal around the joints of rerolled (annularized) or non-rerolled (spiral) CSP pipe ends.

    CMP couplers function on traditional galvanized and polymer coated pipe. They are easy to install, cost-efficient, permanent, and readily available. Our dedicated production line and unique manufacturing process allow for quick shipping regardless of coupler size or order quantity.

    MarMac CMP Coupler membranes are constructed of cross-laminated layers of rubberized mastic, integrated mechanical compression bands, an internal woven reinforcement, and butyl underlays.

    Our proprietary mastic aggressively adheres to the pipe surface, while the integrated compressions bands mechanically seal and form a permanent bond to the full circumference of the pipe walls. The internal woven polypropylene material provides increased shear and puncture resistance. The butyl rubber underlays compress beneath the compression bands and against the pipe wall and joint, forming an infiltration-proof seal on annular, spiral or helical corrugations.

    Available in all sizes to connect virtually any diameter of corrugated metal pipe, Soil-Tight CMP Couplers seal both rerolled and non-rerolled pipe ends. They are designed with four evenly-spaced, high-tensile compression bands, each reinforced with butyl rubber underlays. When the bands are tightened, the compressed butyl creates an infiltration-proof, exfiltration-resistant joint.

    INSTALLATION

    The coupler shall be placed around the pipe, mastic side to the pipe, spanning the joint. The protective release film shall be removed and the coupler applied with the overlap at the top of the pipe. The straps shall be secured (outside straps first) on the larger outside diameter pipe (when applicable) with the proper tools; the securing straps on the outside of the smaller outside diameter pipe shall then be secured. The inside strap shall be tightened last. The closing flap shall cover the exposed strap work area, completing the joint.
